A small creature. A world of color.
This is a collection for anyone who has ever looked at a mantis shrimp and thought: that belongs in a painting.
One subject, many ways of seeing
Soft washes of watercolor. Inky lines. Thick, expressive strokes. We explore the mantis shrimp through different visual styles, colors and compositions, and bring those images together in one place.
How the artwork is made
Every artwork in this gallery is created using AI image generation and selected for this collection. Style names describe the look of the image, rather than a physical painting medium. These are digital images, not photographs or hand-painted originals.
